Nestled on the shores of the historic city of St. Ignace, gateway to Mackinac Island and the Upper Peninsula, sits Salty Mac Brewing Company. Offering a unique combination of old-world Scotland and Ireland, we strive to bring a distinctive taste to our collection of brews. They are part classic and, like an old Scotsman, just a bit salty.
Our passion for brewing extends to our coffee house located within the brewery, where we proudly serve high-quality ingredients through our partnership with Foster Coffee Company. We’re also excited to now offer breakfast alongside our coffee creations, making Salty Mac the perfect stop to start your morning.
There is no better way to enjoy your time before heaving over to Mackinac Island from St. Ignace than to stop in for a taste of our freshly brewed coffees and specialty food menus. Once you are done on the Island, join us and enjoy our robust selection of 30 different beers, ciders, and seltzers and our selection of Michigan made wines. Been a little while coming…but well worth the wait!!!
Great beers and ciders! The menu is fantastic Korean wings and olive pizza (with a balsamic drizzle) we’re killer.
The Bridge Closure and Devil in the Kitchen (a cider with a habanero hint!) are quite choice to be sure.
Coffee is so delicious! Ordered the Americano, and it was so flavorful and yummy! The chai tea, and muffins were also really good! Great atmosphere, very clean, and super friendly staff!
Lots of different beers to try. It was nice that you could pour a little or a lot. They also had a coffee house inside the brewery in case you didn’t want to drink.
The service was great, everyone worked together. All of their tips go to local non profits which is a cool touch.
It was very clean and nicely decorated. If they had a fireplace it would have really made the ambiance amazing.
Great place!
Made a stop at Salty Mac during my recent visit to Michigan….it did not disappoint! The concept is brilliant. The tap wall lets you explore all they have to offer without waiting around for someone or paying for something you aren’t into. The atmosphere inside the place was great. There was no dingy bar scene, just a chill place for everyone. Oh, and don’t sleep on the coffee…..that smores latte hit the spot.

We will scan in your driver’s license and credit card that will link to your RFD wristband that gives you access to the self pour tap wall.
Fill your mug
Place your wristband on the monitor above the tap you desire to activate. Once it turns green, start pouring your desired amount from that tap.
